This 200th Anniversary replica of the keelboat was extremely accurate. Clark made very detail drawings of almost everything used on the Expedition, including the three boats. These replicas were built to the exact inch of the Clark drawings and measurements. The replica is believed to be identical with the only variance being the type of lumber used. But it should be noted that Clark never saw the submerged portion of the keelboat, so it is certainly possible the keelboat may have had a flatter bottom than the replica keelboat in these pictures.
